2025 Makenna Ann Massi Memorial Scholarship Recipient
On Thursday, May 29, 2025, we attended the 2025 Owen J. Roberts Senior Awards Ceremony to present the 2025 Makenna Ann Massi Memorial Scholarship.
We are proud to announce Brynn Hayes as the 2025 Makenna Ann Massi Memorial Scholarship Winner!
Brynn submitted an essay that was truly powerful and beautifully captured Makenna's essence. She powerfully connected her own experiences to Makenna's enduring spirit, noting how Makenna "reminded everyone to fight through each day with courage and gratitude."
This fall, Brynn will be attending Duquesne University to major in Pharmacy. Please join us in congratulating Brynn and wishing her success in college and beyond!

2024 Makenna Ann Massi Memorial Scholarship Recipient
On Thursday, May 31, 2024, we attended the 2024 Owen J Roberts Senior Awards Ceremony to present the 2024 Makenna Ann Massi Memorial Scholarship.
We are proud to announce Abigail Smith as the 2024 Makenna Ann Massi Memorial Scholarship winner!
Abigail is a student-athlete of Varsity Soccer, Basketball, and Track & Field, a member of five academic honor societies (earning a 4.96 GPA), and a member and leader of several OJR after-school clubs.
In addition to sharing Makenna's love of purple, she also shares Makenna's love of animals (especially dogs) and her dream to become a veterinarian. Next year, Abigail will attend the University of Pennsylvania to study Biology with a pre-veterinary track.
Congratulations Abigail!! We look forward to hearing about your future successes and how you carry Makenna's spirit forward to the University of Pennsylvania and beyond.

On Thursday, June 1, 2023, we attended the 2023 Owen J Roberts Senior Awards Ceremony to present the 2023 Makenna Ann Massi Memorial Scholarship.
We are proud to announce Kendall Cunningham as the 2023 Makenna Ann Massi Memorial Scholarship winner!
Kendall is a varsity and club soccer student-athlete; a member of three academic honor societies; a member and leader of several OJR after-school clubs; a volunteer with several community organizations; holds a part-time job; and maintains a 4.79 GPA with honors and AP courses. Kendall will be studying Special Education next year at the University of Pittsburgh.
